My set of drawings for @adorkastock's Draw Everything June 2026. I've decided to experiment with a single line contour drawing approach. At least I think that is what it is called. To try to improve some hand eye coordination and just because why not.
I decided to try my hand at some sketches for audipose august. I don't know how many I'll do but thank you to @adorkastock and @corysreferences for the stock images I used as references.
And thank you to @shelbybergen for sharing a prompt list. These are 5. Fashionmonger and 7. Sharpshooter from that list.
So I started working on this for @solarpunkaestheticweek six months ago. And although I have been able to work on it a bit since then, I'm still fairly limited by some of my health stuff. So here is hoping that I can finish it by this coming winter solstice? Or maybe just keep working on it each solstice for the foreseeable future lol.
The concept is a community common room for meals with solar panel windows and bioluminescent pillars of water that refract sunlight from the roof.

Years ago I made a series of bookmarks for someone for their queen's thief books. They lost the one associated with the first book, The Thief. They asked me to remake it again this year. I obliged, and am actually really happy with how it turned out.

There is something so fitting about a drag queen for the associations usually attributed to the queen of swords.
I initially developed this concept because of some vague ideas I had that I can't even articulate anymore. But the more I started to explore this specific concept, the more it felt right. Which is always cool!
The mermaid on the left was drawn as trans. This deck's concept is fantasy, queer, and fat representation.
I think this is the page (left) and king (right) from the cup suite, but its been a bit so I'd have to check my notes to be sure.

I've made peace with the fact it might take me awhile to get inspired to come back to work on these. The ADHD interest cycle is just a fact of life that I don't have the energy to fight when it comes to hobbies.
Inspired by Naomi Osaka's tennis outfit, because I found it so whimsical.
It has been so long since I've wanted to make art, I had to take advantage while my health was okay enough to let me and the muse was still present.
I wonder if I can again find that meditative way I used to engage with art. Where the act of creation was almost separate from the outcome. I need that meditative aspect more in my life I think. But that is extremely challenging to do.
Of course, that meditative state is a lot easier to get to when I'm not under the constant duress of living in an abelist end-stage capitalist society. Just in case anyone wants to pull that bull about starving artists and how we should just make art for love of art and not actually want a comfortable living.
Another one of the concepts for the tarot deck I talked about ages ago. I actually have a lot in various stages of sketches. I just don't have the energy to finish them. When in a captialist hellscape without the proper support for disabilities and all that. Thank you for your comments and tags. I love them even if I don't have the energy rn to respond <3
This one is a trans woman with grecian/roman symbology. I wish I remember which. If I dig through my refs I'm sure its there.
I decided to go with more of a furry/were situation for the lion because of the representation of inner strength and inner control, especially in reverse.

I've had this concept for tarot cards niggling the back of my mind for awhile. So I've started putting together some rough lines and colors for the more concrete ideas I have. Anyway, wanted to share this one with you.

Finished this gift for @lechatelierite for donating during @fandomtrumpshate They requested Phresine from the above scene and I, glutton for punishment that I am, decided to not only include Attolia, but a mirror too.
Another story idea that is mostly vibes and a premise.
Basically, it is a zombie story where the only way to prevent being turned into a zombie is to amputate the limb that the zombie bit. After the first scare, the zombies are quarantined fairly easily. However, some people in power want to quarantine those who were bit as well, even if they didn't turn.
So everyone who was bitten or 'looked like they could have been bitten' (and doesn't have the privilege to buy their way out of it) are quarantined near or with the zombies.
I vacillate between wanting there to be zombie chase scenes (hence Angel's prosthetic type) and focusing on them creating a isolated solarpunk society.
This concept has been in my head for like ten years and has morphed a lot. But right now the main trio is
Angel (he/him lesbian with a below the knee amputation - I'm thinking from an infected dog)
Trinity (MC and ex-cheerleader with a below the elbow amputation, she/her)
Jacob (punk with a SCI from a car crash but public fervor didn't care and shoved him in with the rest of the bite-survivors)
I think about them a lot. Hopefully one day I can write their story.
Here is another drawing of mine! I drew it because I was fed up with seeing the david statue with some mastectomy scars slapped on it. I appreciate the variety of body types that come with being trans, and I want to see more of that!
Sunny and Phoebe are from a story idea of mine that is the quintessential 'no plot only vibes'. They are long distance friends until Sunny moves to help Phoebe with her occult shop. They are both witches in a severely under-powered urban-fantasy way, if that makes sense.
I'm thinking of writing them as a QPR or something. As I said, all I've got are ~vibes~
And the vibes I'm sending out rn are happy summer to all you fat queers ๐

โPolished upโ DEJ Day 9. The original concept was Gwen Stacy in a 90s grunge inspired outfit. But then I realized she played the drums not the guitar. And Iโm not sure how recognizable this is as Gwen? So I guess just have some grunge band inspired art. ๐

During a bout of bad insomnia last night I decided to make my DEJ Day 8 sketch into Murderbot fanart. I had already pushed the gesture quite a lot in my sketch so I donโt know if the additional changes even fall within the DEJ guidelines anymore.
But anyway, here is Murderbot subduing an annoying but low-threat hostile during a firefight. Either that or protecting an equally annoying friendly (though I think Murderbot usually handles itโs allies better).

Some Howl and Morgan shenanigans from when I was trying to imagine their dynamic outside of the Twinkle debacle.
I thought maybe he would sing ridiculous 80s songs to him.
Okay back in ye olde days before personal devices were a thing I was the designated sibling entertainer during long drives.
Besides telling absolutely unhinged tales, I also made up songs or adapted songs that I only kinda knew or wasnโt sure how my parents would feel about me singing to my baby siblings.
And my family still remembers parts of those absurd songs.
So @thatfoolsophie head cannon accepted. Also can you imagine Sophie and Morgan meeting the rest of Howlโs family again. And either they hear Howlโs unhinged versions from Sophie. Or sophie hears that ACTUAL version of the song.
(And maybe being more confused since Howl tried to edit out the modern elements but also either being like this is SO much better or what is this racket?)

There was a challenge going around to take this test: easydamus.com/character.html and draw the results.
I got Druid Ranger Dwarf and did some surface research into what each of those things were to draw this. I only played D&D once before realizing I didn't have the patience for it.
Phoebe and Sunny again. Iโm not sure why but a characterโs fashion sense is one of the first things I try to peg down. Maybe because Iโm an artist as well as a writer.

So why do the dragons wear so much gold? Because it is a conductor for lightning of course. Itโs healthy for dragons to get a good jolt now and then. Charges their magic and makes them hella scary for any passing humans.
Head canon she uses a martial arts like Baguazhang. I guess it IS canon since she is my character ;)
Added more horns but she still ended up looking more celestial in this one. *shrug*
Tarathiel - She is a nerd.
She needs glasses for reading and likes to keep her hair out of her face for the same reason.
Her specialty is human social studies and so is there in an ambassador capacity.
She is a patient person but not impressed by the people around her. She also dislikes strategy meetings but for different reasons than Aileir.
Thank you!! I have no idea who the new person is haha. I was trying to draw a dude but I can understand the confusion with the long hair and Aileir being buff. Mainly because I like the idea of the males of the species being just as involved with the offspring. (Also, the baby is not hers. She would be a very bad parent XD)
Within the universe of her being a bodyguard Iโm thinking that the dragons have developed independently of humans. So her main reaction is that these humans are under-powered. She likes to use dragon transformations to scare annoying humans? (the other dragons arenโt happy about that since itโs supposed to be a diplomatic mission)

It is normal to switch between whichever form is more convenient at the time. Iโd imagine time spent in either form is equal since the pros/cons are pretty equal:
thumbs/maneuverability but vulnerable vs wings/protection but huge
Both forms feel normal and so she misses either one if she is too long in the other form. That is a little boring of an answer but Aileir is simple woman. A bit of a herbo. She likes gold and hitting/biting things.
Sometimes she wishes someone would just throw a punch so they didnโt have to keep talking circles around things.
So... Iโm thinking about her being a bodyguard (to a king/emperor or whatever) and these ladies are her camouflage. Of course, she ends up teaching them some martial arts and they attempt to teach her to be less stiff. Key word: attempt.
This post was a direct result of some of @iridescentfelineโs questions about my last post. (by the way thank you so much for your interest in her!) This characterโs name is Aileir Diamond Dragonโฆ for now.
Current canon is that she has complete control over her changes. So, if she wants to grow just claws she can. If she wants to form a band of scales on her armโฆ she can. The caveat is that any transformations have to look like the equivalent anatomy of her dragon form (same color and type of scale etc.)
In that vein, if she wanted, she could transform into her dragon form in the gory werewolf style - bone by bone and scale by scale. But also has the option of a fast change from one form to the other. (I hope that answers your question?)
Also when her slit eyes dilate she has legit anime eyes. lol

As far as intuitive vs learned. Iโm thinking that the quick transition is more of a biological reflex like mirroring and that the partial changes are more learned.
But the implications of a baby just automatically switching between forms... pretty sure that could have some disastrous fall out. >.>

For the QoA portion of the Reread Extravaganza I'm going to do a comic book adaptation of my favorite scene in the whole series.
I've kept putting it off because of my perfectionism but... I figure I'm just going to do it. I'll post the pencils as I go but I hope to transfer them over to some watercolor paper and paint them with gouache eventually.

Trinityโs adventure sort of starts in the middle of cheer practice and Iโve tried to figure out a design that would still protect her during the apocalypse (and she wouldnโt mind wearing).

Also... as kind of a P.S. The pressure sensitivity on my tablet stopped working. So I don't know if I can get just a new pen or have to buy a whole other set or what. So, even less drawing than usual until I figure that out :/
I really love how MWT reverses a lot of their gender roles already in the books. Itโs one of the reasons I love this series so much. However, I also think everything needs a rule 63.
Seeing @the-knights-who-say-book โs excitement for model!gen made me think about vlogger!gen again and how he probably gets his girlfriend to film him making pouty faces in random alleyways.
